Buddy Holly's Watch and Other Items To Be Sold At Auction

history is going on the block in April. The diamond wristwatch worn by Buddy Holly when his plane crashed will be sold
by his widow along with other items. Holly was wearing the watch on February 3, 1959, when he, Ritchie Valens and J.P.
"The Big Bopper" Richardson were killed in a plane crash in Iowa. The sale will take place in April 14 and 15
through Heritage Auction
Galleries in Dallas, Texas. The watch, a diamond and white gold Omega, has "Buddy Holly 12-1-58" on the
back. It was a gift from his wife.The sale will also include more than twenty original acetate recordings made by Holly
dating back to 1955, his 1958 passport, several dozen of his photographs, all signed or annotated by him and personal
wardrobe items such as suits, shirts, ties and cuff links.[via Mercury News]
